Claude was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. He completed, with honors, a Bachelor's degree in Classical Music Performance at the prestigious Ecole de Musique Vincent d'Indy, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Performance from Montreal's McGill University. After graduating, Claude worked as a conductor-pianist in Canada and throughout Europe for such Canadian artists as Veronique Beliveau, Manuel Tadros, Serge Mondor and Marie-Claire Seguin. From 1989 to 1994, he toured the Middle East entertaining the United Nations, American and Canadian troops, as well as those stationned in Germany, Cyprus, Croatia, Bosnia and Yugoslavia.


In 1992, Claude was asked to take over for the Musical Director of internationally acclaimed "Cirque du Soleil" on their tour throughout Switzerland as well as in Santa Monica, California with their production of "Alegria".


Since moving to Los Angeles in 1995, Claude has written the scores for over 200 films and television episodes. He has collaborated with among others, Francis Ford Coppola's Zoetrope Television, Renny Harlin, Robert Wagner, MTV, Showtime, Fox Home Entertainment, MGM TV, SyFy, Paramount Television, USA Network and the ABC Family Channel. His past projects include Universal's release of Gold Circle's feature "White Noise" starring Michael Keaton and USA's record-breaking series "The 4400".  More recently he’s worked with Bruce McDonald on the award-winning psychological thriller “Pontypool” as well as Fox Home Entertainment hit sequels “Wrong Turn 3” and “Wrong Turn 4”.


Claude lives in Hidden Hills with his wife Kim Long, and their two daughters, Eve and Alexandra.
